Why True Ceylon Cinnamon Matters
Not all cinnamon is created equal.
Ceylon Cinnamon (True Cinnamon) – Known as the “real” or “Sri Lankan” cinnamon, it has thin, soft layers that crumble easily, light brown in color, with a subtle, sweet aroma. Naturally low in coumarin, it’s the healthier choice for daily use.
Cassia Cinnamon – Darker, thicker, and much harder. Its bold, spicy flavor is common in supermarkets but contains higher levels of coumarin, making it less ideal for everyday consumption.
